16 Minutes "Buh ..." That was the last message heard from the space shuttle Columbia. Mission control had asked them to check on the pressure of their tires, and they only received that cryptic response as a reply. No further sound was heard, before the rest of the world saw the Shuttle as it exploded. The Space Shuttle Columbia was just 16 minutes from touching down. 16 minutes from completing their mission. 16 minutes from being reunited with their loved ones. 16 minutes. Time can be either too long, or too short, depending upon the situation. For those who wait for an event to happen, time can be too long. For those who fear an oncoming event, time can be too short, moving too quickly. For those loved ones who were awaiting the return of family members aboard the Shuttle, time has stopped. Once again we are reminded, that even though we live in an age where Technology is often thought to be able to remedy any problem of man, it cannot remedy the problem of time. It cannot stop time, it cannot save time, it cannot suspend time. We do not have a moment to relive, nor a moment to save. Time is quickly moving by, and we must be about the business of using it wisely for our God and Father in Heaven. "... For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:14) The best way we can use that time, it to use it by serving Him. [JW]
